According to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, the definition of ‘organize’ is “to arrange or order things so that they can be found or used easily and quickly; to put things into a particular arrangement or order”.
So, what does this look like? Honestly, there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. It is whatever works well for you. I have seen homes that are arranged so neatly, I could have easily envisioned photos of their spaces on the pages of home decorating magazines. But, is this a realistic organization goal for most? I have also seen offices with desks covered in stacks of paper, causing most visitors to feel anxious at first glance. Yet, when asked to produce a particular file or piece of paper, the owner knows exactly which pile, and where within that pile, to locate it at a moment’s notice. It may not be an ideal organizing solution for most, but I have seen it work for some.
To find what works best for you, consider your schedule, your habits, your routine, the general flow of your daily life. Don’t be afraid to try different solutions. And, as necessary, tweak them over time as your life and needs change. What makes sense for you one day, may or may not make sense for you ten years later.
Thank you again for stopping by & Thank you for organizing with me!
