What is an “orderly well-being”? OK…..I have not found an “official” definition in any dictionary, but here is how I define it for myself…..
First, I will share with you some of my favorite synonyms for the words “orderly” and “well-being”.
Orderly – neat, tidy, systematized, uncluttered
Well-being – happiness, health, prosperity
Leading my life in an orderly way does not just pertain to organizing the belongings in my home in a neat, tidy, systematized way, so that they are easily accessible, when needed. It is so much more than that. Here are a few other examples….
- It is how I manage my schedule on any given day to ensure I am meeting my commitments.
- It is prioritizing what is most important to me, and learning to let go of things in my life that don’t support my life’s goals.
- It is learning to place myself at the top of my priority list, because if I don’t take care of myself, how will I be able to help others?
- It is being grateful for all the things (and people!) I do have in my life and the things that have gone right, rather than complaining about the things I don’t have and the things that have gone wrong.
- It is finding humor in everyday life.
- It is making sure that I do something every day to improve my level of happiness, health, and prosperity.
- It is celebrating life’s successes, big or small.
- It is taking opportunities to “pay it forward” whenever possible.
All of the above are parts of my life’s on-going journey. I admit, some parts are much easier to address than others, I need much more work in some areas than in others, and I am not always successful in all areas at the same time. The important thing is that I keep working at it. As with anything, there is always room for improvement. There are always opportunities for tweaking or fine-tuning. I like to celebrate successes! It motivates and encourages future successes. And when mistakes are made, it is important to learn from them, pick myself up, dust myself off, and continue moving forward. It is OK to change course, just keep moving forward. It is a process, not an event. It is a journey, not a destination.
As I continue on my life’s journey towards an orderly well-being, I will continue to share tips and ideas that I have found to be valuable. Here’s wishing you much success in your own life’s journey towards an orderly well-being, however you may define it for yourself.
Thank you again for stopping by & Thank you for organizing with me!
Enjoy the journey!!
